New Relationship with the New Bedford Museum of Glass
The New Bedford Museum of Glass and Celia Pearson are collaborating to create a traveling exhibition of sea glass prints and related items, including antique glassware, glass jewelry and a collection of sea glass from Barcelona, Spain. The artist is working with Kirk Nelson, Executive Director of this non-profit organization, who discovered Pearson's photographs in the book Pure SEA GLASS. The New Bedford Museum of Glass is dedicated to expanding its already substantial collection and to celebrating the history and beauty of glass. For more about the museum please visit www.nbmog.org

Architectural Photography Show at Cross MacKenzie
Celia Pearson participates in Architectural Photography Show at Cross MacKenzie, November 14-21, 2008. Rebecca Cross and Maxwell MacKenzie of Cross MacKenzie Ceramic Arts experiment now and then with other art forms, and in support of FOTOWEEK DC, they are planning a one week exhibit. Interview with WRNR's Michael Buckley
WRNR Radio host Michael Buckley recently recorded an interview with Pure SEA GLASS photographer Celia Pearson and author/publisher Richard LaMotte as part of his ongoing series "Voices of the Chesapeake Bay." It will be aired between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2008, broadcasting on 103.1 FM.

Richard and I were so pleased to have this opportunity. Michael Buckley has just released his own book, "Voices of the Chesapeake Bay," a selection of his many interviews over the past 10 years. He is deeply interested in this region that Richard, his family and I call home and how, he says, "its history, ecology, and economy intertwine with the human soul." CP
